I am a classical realistic painter who has been born and raised in the Netherlands. After having left Highschool I didn't knew what to study so I began working, but because of that I always ended up having got unschooled jobs.

In the beginning they were new, but it soon became a repetition wich lead me from one to another. After having got fired at another one I was sick and tired of them, so I decided that I wanted someting different, something that I could enjoy doing.

So I set myself two rules, the first one was whether I could make a lving out of it or not couldn't play a part in my decision. The second one was that I couldn't gain any personal motive with it.

Then I remembered that I used to like to draw in elementary school, so I began to draw, after wich I made the step to paint in oils. From that moment I knew what I wanted to do, to paint!

Through painting I am learning about myself and the world around me. This is a constant movement between the outer and the inner, it contains all the aspects of life.

I have learned to start each day fresh, to have no direction where I want to go, so I'm open for all the possibilities.

The only thing that I want is to paint in complete freedom, I think this has no becoming, does not contain ambition or competition.

Because it contains all the aspects of life I think the relationship with nature and technology is important as well, for that reason I use the best materials regarding to them.

Working hard is a bad expression I think, it destroys joy. I want to find out if it is possible to do the things without effort and with joy.

So for me it is about the joy of painting, not about becoming something...
